Mike Rosenberg's Freep Column: "System Failure"

Michigan has stumbled to a 2-4 start and Michael Rosenberg, columnist for the Free Press, did a review of the first half of the season in a column entitled "System Failure." The byline for the article in the Freep print edition reads- "The early take on Rodriguez: Atrocious". So much for subtlety. Go Blue!

It's crazy to overreact to this season. There's a plan in place, and part of the known consequences of adopting the plan was one, perhaps two disappointing seasons. Can't have good without the bad. The bright side is, since there are so many freshman on the team, when it does start clicking, they'll be around for a while.

I'm tired of hearing about the "streaks." Let's not lose fact of this stat: only one national championship in forty years.

That's going to change very soon, but this season is the biggest down payment towards changing that.
